When Joe and I stroll the streets of downtown Stavanger, we can't help but stop to look at the windows filled with real estate postings. Occasionally when I'm bored at home, I'll peruse Finn.no, Norway's version of MLS. We have no intention on buying property here but it's fun to look.
Before you start shopping below, as a rule of thumb, we divide the prices by 6 to get an approximate Canadian dollar amount and copying & pasting the descriptions into Google Translate works well.

Scandinavian design just speaks to me. I love the clean lines and the bright whites. The large and abundant windows make everything feel so open and the views are stunning. Of course, it comes with a hefty price tag - we are in Norway after all.
So, which would you choose?
{1} Luxe apartment with great views?
{2} Brand new attached home with large windows in a great, family neighbourhood?
{3} Rural waterfront property with a cabin feel?
I love them all! But I think I would go with the third option. I love it being near the water. I agree I love all the white and clean lines. Beautiful places.
ReplyDeleteThese are all gorgeous places, but I love nature so the rural cabin appeals to me the most! I won't be getting a whole lot of great Scandinavian design while I'm in Norway (that's what a student budget does when moving to a crazy expensive country), but it's always nice to dream! :)
ReplyDeleteOoooh my goodness, these are all just stunning! Scandinavian architecture and design just speaks my language completely. I think I'd have to go for option 2: attached home with large windows in a good neighbourhood :)

That waterfront property is gorgeous! I would choose that one for sure!
ReplyDeletebased on first impressions, I think I would go for #2 - those windows! oh my gosh. I can only imagine how bright and airy and beautiful that room must be during the day.
ReplyDeleteAll options are amazing but I think I would have to go with the third option. One can dream!
ReplyDeleteAll options are amazing but I think I would have to go with the third option. One can dream! I am a huge HGTV fan too!
ReplyDeleteOne can certainly dream!
DeleteAck. I feel like I could happily live in all of them - but I think I would ultimately choose #3, just because I love houses like that AND it is so close to the water. But those windows in #2! Heaven!!
ReplyDeleteI know - I'd happily call any of them home but number 3 is pretty special!
DeleteI think I'd have to go with Number 3 - there is something about those houses that makes me feel like it's really Scandi style!
